Is It HPV?
OK ill be turning 19 tomorrow and recently i went to the local health clinic hear in my town and got my results for my pap and i had abnormal cells. They said that it came up as HPV, but of course they didnt say it was official cuz thats the main thing that does come up on those screen tests if the cells are abnormal, so they said i need to go see a real doctor and get a follow up pap to see if my cells are still abnormal, and if they are to see what exactly is the matter. Well its been like 6 mths. since i had my first pap and i have noticed that i get these lil red bumps that are itchy. and they come up quite often, but then they'll go away for maybe a few days and come back. they dont oose out anything and they aren't big, but they itch. and they're not even around my vagina. they are like below my belly button right above where my pubic hair grows all along there, so im really confused. and some of the bumps are on my butt hear and there and on the back side of my upper legs so idk wats goin on. i know that those aren't places where these symptoms should be taking place for HPV and i havnt ever heard or read about my symptoms, so i jus need some advice on what someone might think it is or if this could be HPV.

oh wow that sounds interesting. awww thats sooo sad im srry. lol yea i bet u r. i have 3 strays of my own too. one is a cocker spaniel and shes bout 13 and i have a german shepherd and shes bout 7 and then a husky and hes bout 3. so yea pretty wide range lol and their all mixed, but those breeds are wat stands out the most in em. i havnt been on here lately cuz i went to Women of Faith this weekend and it was so much fun! sandi patty was there, this gospel singer. and nicole c. mullen idk if uve heard of em. a bunch of other speakers too that are part of it. but it was mainly an event for older women like 20's and up that are married with kids lol and i was like the youngest one there. i went with my mom tho so it was still fun. we went with one of my moms friends and she was goin with a group of women already so we jus tagged along and we all had fun. but this women of faith is every yr, not always in the same place, they travel. we went to little rock, arkansas tho. i live in arkansas so it worked out. it was our first time goin. so u a Christian? well ttyl.

i made an appt today. i jus stayed home from school and did it. kinda the only way i could do it. but yay i did it lol. im happy. its april 9th at 3 45. and im gettin a cloposcopy/biopsy. it kinda sucks cuz i know that hurts, but atleast i finally find out wat exactly i have. its gunna cost $419! but i have medicaid, so they said that would most likely take care of it, thank God lol. well jus keepin u up date. so wat do u do? well ttyl bye.
yea i know i need to soon and i will. jus the time factor and money factor. since i live with my parents its hard to do things on my own without everyone knowing im doin it or them hearing me makin calls or watever, and i get out of college at 3 45 so its hard to catch the places before they close but ill get it done.
Impossible for anyone let alone a layperson to diagnose over the net.....I've seen/read Dr.Hook advising ppl to stop picking at these things and seek medical help ASAP!
idk yet, i havnt been able to get one. but i will soon. ive been readin the forum archives and i think every person that describes wat these things look like always say that they are round bumps that have a white inner core to them. they say that they can pop the cores out and they are like round, waxy, lil white balls. and mine are lil red bumps that itch and look like normal rashes that make my skin dry. but all the bumps on me are in the exact spots as they would b for MC bumps tho. do u think this could still be MC? but anyway now im not so sure its MC....so im jus gunna have to wait till i get my appt.

yea, thats wat ive been doin is lookin at other ppls questions and tryin to find stuff bout mc. its helped. it is curable and id rather have this than any other std, cuz so many stds arent curable. and also most of them are sooo much worse than mc. atleast i wont have it for the rest of my life ya know. it jus feels like rashes. pretty much wat it is. im also glad its not deadly. i really lucked out cuz i coulda got somethin a lot worse.
thank god i've never had this but have read about it and according to the research they do come and go for a couple years and are highly contagious 2 others.To learn more u can go to the link on the right side of this page Experts forum-std's and browse the archives on this topic regarding Drs.Hook and Hansfields advice to others who have this.
yea thats true. i have shaved over it and it did seem to irritate it more, but i guess it would tho, so i guess i shouldnt do that. well ok that sounds like a plan, ill jus wait to see the doctor. um idk if u know bout this either, but when i read that article bout it that u told me to go to, it said that the average time these bumps stay is around 2 yrs. and sometimes they come back up. so do u think that means that i might not have em forever or wat? cuz i know u never can get rid of hpv and i thot mcv was a virus too, so idk bout that one. jw if u know anything bout that. ok well ttyl! bye.
i am not sure about that....i would wait until u see the doctor...shaving just might irritate it more and possible spreading!ur welcome!:)
so this can spread to other areas right? like if u shave over the area(s) that are infected and then shave other places that aren't infected?
omg thnx so much! that really helped me. thats pretty much exactly my symptoms and where the bumps are, so that really gave me some insight. and i still am going to get another follow up pap and everything to know for sure, but thnx again for helpin me.
sounds like molluscum contagiousum...go 2 www.ashastd.org click on2 this left side of website and see if it is what ur xperiencing!u need to get verification pap of HPV test as well!
