Itch? I thought warts didn't do this..

I still am weary of my nurse practicioners diagnosis. None of my bumps look like genital warts and a friend who was in nursing school said she did a full chapter on it and it sounded nothing like it.. but where this one bump is right at the base it's completely skin colored and raised, but perfectly circular and rounded and smooth.. before it appeared it itched in that spot.. and to this day it still has the same itch every now and then. Dr. HHH said that genital warts don't itch themselves.. So I'm confused..

Alright thank you Alex, I guess I'll try to put my trust back in doctors, but it's hard when so many have given so much unconcerned advice.

I don;t think your urolgist gave you good advice.

For a second opinion, a dermotogist would be my choice.

I had a couple treated before and they came back, but it was soon as I shaved.. So I'm not sure that it's not correlated. It's been since June 30 that they were treated and the bumps have not multiplied or gotten any bigger, in fact they look much smaller. I've been sleeping with the same person, so I haven't gotten it treated again because it takes forever to get an appt.

I'm weary of a dermatologist, as well, because when I mentioned it to my urologist he said put vinegar and if it turns white you have warts, and didn't even take a look. I'm just nervous that they don't see that often and are going to just write me off again.

Would you recommend dermatologist or local health clinic again?

I can't remember....were these treated? It sounds like you still have the bumps. If you want a second opinion, why not see a dermatologist?

Otherwise, I wouldn't worry about the diagnosis.

Warts won't cause you any problems and if these bumps are not warts, they probably won't cause you problems either. If everything has been treated, and nothing comes back within 6 months, then you are in the clear anyway.
