unfair

75 to 90% of people will get hpv. I do not know anyone that does not have it. I got it from the person I lost my virginity to. I just dont understand why they do not test men for it. They do have a test now but prior to what people think, they should test all men since they spread it unknowingly. I will not have kids because I know that if I have a girl, she will have a 90% chance of getting it and she will suffer like the rest of us so sadly I would not be so cruel as to bring somone into this diseased world. I dont understand how they let men spread it by not testing them knowing that they are risking the lives of so many women. Its not fair I guess. Men go around thinking they dont have anything when most of them do because it doesnt have symptoms, well cancer. Sorry if Im so negative, Ive been traumatized by this whole idea. I wonder if this disease was one that could potentially kill men ,that there would probably be more effort to find a cure? I dont know. I feel like the world being the government/health officials do not care if all women get cancer from this. Once again, sorry for being so negative Im just so scared and angry it makes me sick. Its so unfair

Somebody pointed out that I was insensitive with my last post. That person was right, and I apologize.

Being diagnosed with HPV was difficult enough for me, and I do not have to worry about serious consequences.

But I don’t think that the despair that is shown in your post is necessary. As you pointed out, most people acquire a HPV infection, and only a very few have serious consequences. Follow your doctor’s advice, and I am sure you will be fine.

You seem to be over-reacting. I guess we all need to vent sometimes.

There has a been a lot of effort to find a cure for HPV. The PAP and HPV tests have greatly reduced cervical cancer fatalities, and a vaccine has been developed that is effective against the most common high risk strains of HPV. There is no sexist conspiracy here.

While most people get HPV, most don't suffer. It certainly isn't a diseased world that is not fit for children.

HPV isn't the most serious condition. I wish you a speedy recovery.

i also got hpv from the first person i loved so much and who i lost my virginity to. i also felt like it wasnt fair but i never blamed him because i knew it wasnt his fault. after i told him he felt so bad and he was mad because he had given me this horrible virus that i am going to have for the rest of my life. it has been two years since i found out and i dont think about it much anymore. i guess its because i found someone who never judged me for having it and was always ok with it. i know it is unfair but i just try to take care of myself and look on the better side. i dont think any women should go through that but all i can tell you is just to keep up with your check ups and take care of yourself.
