partial Hyst at age 21

I had a partial hyst at age 21, I still have my ovaries. I am now 24. I fought for 5 years to avoid having a hyst. with no avail. I was in a constant battle with cancer cells. Now I'm having issues that are affecting my life. I constantly have cysts, but I can handle that. The biggest issues are my emotional and mental state. I can be happy go lucky one minute and mad at the world the next. I have been on a number of different anti depressants to help, but nothings working. I am to the point now that I think the next step is a psychiatrist. I am not crazy, but I get sad or mad for no reason. I mope around and the sad part is that my life is wonderful, but I get so angry for no reason. I wanted to know if there is anyone else out that in the same boat I'm in. I need some advice. My hyst is probably the main reason for my divorce, and will more than likely be the main reason for my relationships demise.

Hi, glad to have been of some help, You will find so much compassion on this web site your never alone,,,check out the medhelp social if you never have its a fun forum we run polls, play games its a great way to find which members have things in common with you etc...
I get the roller coaster analogy its a good one, Personally I think your too young to stop the HRT , maybe your estrogen was too high for you everyones body is different and I am very curious to find out what your test results will be, Proud of you for standing up for yourself, great big cyber high five !!! I always tell people the doctor works for you, you pay his salary,,,so get your moneys worth or fire him and find a better one.Much peace and prayers to you, Cherie

When I first had my surgery the Dr told me is would be a good idea to take estrogen, but he said if I was ok after a while I didn’t need to take it. (This was two years ago) I had started to take the estrogen again, until I went into the drs office again with cysts, and he mentioned to much estrogen in my system. Could the estrogen be causing my cysts?
I have another appointment today, and I plan to MAKE them test my hormone levels.
My boos had the same type of issues a few years back and suggested that I have my hormones tested a few times for examples when I'm ovulations, in between and when I would have normally had a period. To see if I am roller coasting, causing all my issues. Bc this past month my fiancée says I have been completely off my rocker. All though he is trying to be as supportive as possible. I basically went loonie when I started ovulating and with the pain, and have been rollercoaster ever since. This week would be about the time I would have had a period, and very moody and emotional.

One thing I have learned is my health issues is I have been know to be the 1 in a million that will either get the side effect or something will go completely out of the norm.

I am on my way to check out Mary53 and see what her page has to offer.

Thank you I have needed someone who I could relate with or atleast talk to with out being judge.

THANK YOU SOO MUCH!! I do not feel so alone anymore!

hi , listen I understand exactly whats happening to you, its not your fault.I am going to give you two very good bits of advice in just a bit. Im so very sorry to hear your suffering so, and its cost you a divorce, perhaps some counseling may help with the trauma from the surgery , but thats not what my advice is ( it wouldnt hurt, the counseling I mean , most all people would benifit from a bit, myself included !!) my advice is to seek a HRT doctor, bioidentical, have your hormones tested, although your very young. This is what I think is happening, many, many women just have their uterus removed, for reasons unknown have a drastic reduction in  the stimulation of natural hormones,,,,thus you feel all the negative things you described, honest its not your fault...you need hormomes,,atleast estrogen it makes maybe a combo or more..so please find a nurse practioner, a md or DO who lists that they specialise in HRT you will be given blood test for this diagnosis, simple !!!

do not take synthetic, or premarin use bioidentical for the why of this comes my second bit of advice, please go to Mary53  home page look at and study her journal on bio-identical hormone replacement therapy..she is a genius in the catagory. she is a good friend of mine but she works alot of hours and doesnt have too much spare time during the week, so if you have questions please redirect to me or be advised to be patient waiting for her...when you get your hormones diagnosed, you will be put on them you will slowly notice gee Im starting to feel "normal"
give what I said a try please, you have nothing to lose and lots to gain I know it sounds nuts to say your peri or menopausal at 24 but I would bet a ton of money you are, its because of the disturbance of uterus removal it "tricked" your body happens to lots , not all , but Im almost certain it happened to you.

hugs, Cherie
