Enjuvia???

My doctor prescribed enjuvia for me today 1.25 mg/day for relief from my surgical menopause symptoms. As I stated before, I am 38 and need help deciding if I should take hormones. I have been having many symptoms of menopause and had decided that I need something to help me; I was set to start taking this when I looked it up online and see very little positive feedback. I am just scared that I will gain 50 pounds and end up with blood clots. I feel like I am losing my mind here!! Can anyone shed any light on this for me????

hi Im so happy for you! sounds like your doing great, some of my other posters are having a very difficult time getting the right balance,

Its been 5 years since my hysterectomy, I only used vivelle for a year I had real bad night sweats they went away completley and like you now I only have a occasional hot flash and they are not unbearable, some ladies need to stay on the hrt for many years some dont....dont try going off yours anytime soon or with out drs advice !

take care

Thank you so much for your feedback, it really made my choice a lot easier. I have started taking the enjuvia and I do feel a lot better; hot flashes have lessened and the night sweats are almost gone. I have returned to work and even that wasn't as difficult as I had expected. All I can say is so far, so good!! I will keep you posted on how this continues to work, hopefully all positive! Thanks again for the help.

I well I must admit I had to read on Eujvia I am knowlegable on most hrt but this is one Im not up to date on.Here is some of what I learned  CONJUGATED ESTROGENSSS   used as hormone replacement in menopausal women. It helps to treat hot flashes and prevent osteoporosis. It is also used to treat women with low hormone levels or in those who have had their ovaries removed.
So its basically the same as most other bio-identical hormones, Im glad your choosing that route if you change meds please do not go for Premarine this is the first hormone replacement created not bio identical actually made from a pregnant hourses urine YUCK!!

Most women get good results from hrt but the problem is it sometimes takes up to 5 trys to get the right combo for your anatomy you very well may need more than just estrogen.

If you gain more than 10 lbs its a issue unfortunaltey most women including myself gain 10-20 lbs its just a bad side effect of menopause and surgical menopause it hits us harder its not a gentle glide into menopause like nature intends.

there is a new branch of medicine its Nurse Practioners who specialise in menopause only alot of my ladies on here get very good results from them, unlike a gyno this is all they do. Worth trying.
to prevent or help prevent blood clots walk, when laying in bed theres a exercise you can do point your toes as far to your ankles area as you can while laying flat on back with legs completley falt then point toes down like a ballerina would be on toes, repeat as often as you can.

I really urge you to see another Dr , also do it soon its not a real good idea to d/c meds without seeing a dr first.

write me back with any questions or please let me know what dr says.
