Gyno says I NEED Hysterectomy

Hi Ladies,
I need some help I am very confused. Over the past few months I have had several tests US,TVU,CA125,biopsy and a Ultrasound stress test for abnormal ekg. All came back normal. The VUS showed"or they thought" a cyst on my ovary. I had laproscopic procedure done this morning and she informed me that I actually had a polup in my uteris that was removed and sent to pathology. She said there is no cyst my intestine has wrapped around my ovary. How does this happen? Has anyone experienced this? She also did an ablation but said that I have to have a hyster due to the intertwining of parts. I don't mind having this procedure done as I was having severe cramping monthly and some times through out the month. I bleed heavily at times as well. Are there any natural hormones that I can take versus what they offer? Any insight will be greatly appreciated.I am soo confused how could they not see this on any tests?

The doc was speaking to me when I was still not awake so honestly I only remember partial conversation she removed a polyp and I need a hysterectomy within 6 months?? I am wondering does any one out there know of a good surgeon in AZ for this type of thing? I go for post op appt on Thursday so plan on asking many questions then.

thank you for responding. I think a second opinion is in order as well.
best wishes

Is your Dr suggesting the removal of both your ovaries and uterus?
If your pathology report comes back fine I would think the polyp could be removed.
And if your intestine is wrapped around one ovary then I would think they could just remove that, or unwrap it.
Maybe you should get a second opinion. It seems like your Dr is recommending a hysterectomy without having all the tests back and trying other options.
Hopefully our CL Cherie can jump in here and help with your question. Take care. Remar
