Had hysterectomy now bleeding several years later
I am a 37 year old who had a tubal ligation over 10 years ago and had numerous problems with cysts on my ovaries and severe cervical dysplasia which they lasered off 2 times. The last time i was told I had severe dysplasia they were concerned they could not get it all and told me I needed a hysterectomy which they did 7 years ago. I was unaware that I needed to have pap tests and did not have any after my hysterectomy. The other day I started bleeding and got scared and went to my doctors. She did 2 pap tests and while performing it she said " Oh ya I see the cause of your bleeding you are bleeding from your vaginal wall there is a lesion that is there and actively bleeding."
Of course I am scared to death waiting for the results. If anyone could share anything as to what this is I would greatly appreciate it

I got the results back from the other pap and they are classifying it as inflammation process. Her exact words were they are not calling it cancer yet...She could not tell me anymore information and just stated that she was sending the results over to the specialist and she would see where he wanted to go from here. This is all getting quite frustrating. This is going on 3 weeks of shear torture waiting on results. I wish they would just figure something out.
Because depending on the culture it takes longer to grow some than others.
glad the first is vagintitis, simple inflamation. may not cure right away but it will, just thank goodness it was nothing else !

I had two pap tests done one where the lesion was on the vaginal wall and the other where the opening to my cervix used to be. The one test where my cervix used to be came back yesterday and she said it was bacterial vaginosis. But she did say the other one is not back yet. Why if they both where done same day would one be back but not the other..additional testing???

.Hi Below are the ten reasons for vaginal lesions, barring a simple tear that developed thickness, can happen as vaginal tissue becomes thin after a hysterectomy, this is why most find it neccessary to use K-Y for sex.(ask your Dr.)
I understand your fear I get post almost every day about post hyster bleeding, the difference is they dont mention lessions, most is simple cause vaginal tissue is thinning.
Having pap test is needed some women go some dont vaginal cancer is rare but only way to catch is ...pap test.
1. Bartholin's cyst,,,,,,,,,,,a blocked gland near labia major.(if u had this it would hurt bad a big cyst)
2. Candidiasis...Nice word for yeast infection
3Conjuntivus linguinus ,A rare disorder characterized by the formation of thick, tough, woody (ligneous) lesions on mucous membranes
4. Genital herpes
5. Gonorrhea
6. Lichen sclerosis et atrophicus Lichen sclerosus is a long-term, chronic skin condition. Lichen sclerosus is an inflammatory condition that results in the development of thin, patchy white plaques of skin.
7. Melanoma skin cancer really doubt thats the cause (but remember we are voulnteers not Dr.s)
8. Mullerian aplasia this is a birth deffect..unlikely Drs woulda noticed it before
9. Sebaceous cyst....easy to take care of usually begnine
10. Squamous Cell Skin Cancer
Please let me know when you find out in the meantime Id avoid sex, use non perfumed soaps, no bubble baths or douching.
