Hormones after a total hysterectomy

I had a complete Hysterectomy 3 mnths ago and have not felt right since.  Emotionally and physically.  There are so many changes my body has gone through.  I have experienced weight gain, mood swings, leg cramps, fatigue and loss of interest in life.  I have been taking Premarin a low dose.  I just stopped taking it since I don't think it's helping anyways.  Any suggestions on hormones or no hormones? Or alternatives?

Hi, I will be going in for a hysterectomy soon... I am 51, hot flashing for years. I do not take any hormone replacements.  I have tried things in the past but nothing really does it for me.  Most of my problem is at night.  I do not sleep through the night without tossing and turning after a few hours and then it seems like for the rest of the night.  My husband doens't see how I can do it...REALLY, DO I HAVE A CHOICE......The surgeon I am going to use asked if I had ever tried pellets.  I ddin't talk with him about it since at the moment, because of the surgery, I am not taking anything, or thinking about it.  I will probably ask him after this is all done. That might be something you could bring up with you doctor or see if you can find out anything about....good luck to you. Nancy
