In Chritiane Northrups book on the wisdom of menopause she says Anxiety and tension can magnify hot flashes as well as eating too many simple sugars and refined carbs. She recommends a 2% progesterone skin cream 1/4 tsp rubbed into the skin once a day. (However, I am still trying to find out if progesterone cream is safe for women without a uterus) She suggests meditation and relaxation also. And to add soy foods (45-160 mg of soy isoflavones per day)also herbs like black cohosh, **** quai, or chaste berry. The cream I have is by Emerita and you can buy it in natural food stores or online.Hope this helps
Where do you find estronatural? That's a good idea about the hair. My hair is long and it does get aggravating after a while when I'm really hot.
When are you going in for your hysterectomy? I hope it goes well for you.
I haven't had my hyster yet, but I know how hot you feel. I have found that the over the counter estronatural helps me but it does take a month to start working.
Hope you feel better soon. Oh and try taking cool showers, avoid hot lights, and if your hair is long keep it off your neck. Keeping your neck cool helps alot.
