Hi there, welcome to the hyster forum, I have been throught some of the same as you, we even have the same amount of children, all boys here. I know the doctors answer to this question with out a shadow of doubt is YES you should still at the very least have a yearly pap smear, reason being your vagina is made of tissues that (could,,not likley but could) develop cancer  and a pap smear is the ONLY way to detect it early sure if it got to stage 3 or 4 youd hav other sympoms but dont let that happen. I am by no means trying to scare you and really truely get where your coming from,,,somehow after a hysterectomy it would seem fair to get out of having a anuall pap, but not the case !!

as for the bleeding yes its normal your vaginal tissues thin with out hormones, are you using any hormone replacement? it would help with the thinning of tissues and the bleeding...be certain to mention these symptoms to doc ok?

best wishes, Cherie
