The other thing you need to be checked for is incisional hernias, which will definately cause severe pain. I got these after my MVA, because even though my hysterectomy was 12 months before MVA, everything isn't healed properly inside. Just another possibility, as bodies just aren't built to be thrown around cars, or pulled so hard by seat belts. Also it would be very normal to be feeling depressed with everything you've been through, and it really is something that is treatable with medication. Look forward to keep hearing how your going, take care.
Hi,,wonderful decision to see a psyc Dr. it will help you to be evaluated, and you have been through so very much it would be hard to think that it has not lead to some depression.
When someone is very ill, it will effect relationships. it seems to be one extreame or the other. 1. a very supportive partner who does as much as possible to motivate, and help the partner with pain, surgeries, and the depression often assoiated w both.
2. a spouse who just cant handle it is negative, complains about health care bills, wants partner to do things that would cause pain, like IDK being ordered not asked to carry heavy boxes to attic, or to scrub kitchen floor, etc..this type of spouse is usually toxic to the patient,.if there is no counseling for marriage and or self. its very difficult and or makes patients symptoms worse.
we have a depression forum..take a look if you like much good info.
Thanks to both wannasmile63 and Cherie762. I hope I can answer as much as I can. As far as my ovaries go no I have none. I had a full hysterectomy. As far as testing goes I have had alot of them done I cannot remember all the names of them. But I will call my doctor that has done the last surgeries and talk to her about what has been suggested to ask. I really appreciate all the help. I have just been through so much the last 6 years it is so ridiculous. Saddly my marriage is being affected and well so is my time with the kids. If I could just get rid of the pains and fatigue I would be so greatful. And i am already blabbling and forgot to answer a question. No i have not been told that i have andeomyosis. I will also look into seeing a psychologist. I have felt depressed and well that is why I decided to motiviate myself and push myself to lose weight. And honestly it has not helped much. Dont get me wrong I am happy I have lost what I have. I am felling better, but still not in the manner you would think.
Agree w above poster..if you still have ovaries, your still producing estrogen which "feeds" endo tissue. I had a hyster (complete tubes, ovaries, uterus and cervix) in 05 I started w endometriosis which developed into andeomyosis. Have you ever been told you may have that? its where uterus thickens , becomes sponge like and is extreamly painful. about the pain pills..I went that route too, and its true your body will develop a tolerance..due to my many surgeries and MVA I am currently only taking Toradol and Flexeril 3x a day if needed. Narcotics can take you down a really bad road if used for too long.
the whole body as you know is connected..a few of your clues jumped out at me
1. Been tested for Sciatic nerve damage? can happen from trauma (MVA) or surgery error. if sciatic nerve is nicked or compressed, it can cause a disease called sciatica.
2. Fibromyalgia? general pains at certain boody points mostly joints and its a more common condition than most realise. also causes great fatigue. and depression
3. Endo tissue can do really odd things, I have heard of it being as high up as a patients lung, my ovary was attached to my bowel because of endo tissue.
4. I dont think this is in any way due to your small hemmoriods.
5. Had a CA125 test? it rules out some cancers of female organs.( simple blood test)
6. Your last paragraph on the migranes, either sleeping too much or not at all suggests to me that you see a psychologist to rule out two conditions. 1. Bipolar disorder it is very common many people in high power jobs have it w proper meds one can function quite well. 2. general depression disorder..get a good evaluation to rule these out...with all that you have been through it would make a whole lot of sense...when the physical body cannot deal w more pain or illness, it will effect emotionss, chemicals in brain.
I hope this helps some please feel free to pm me at any time..Id suggest trying an ice pack rather than heat on sore spots..leave on 15 min tale off for 15.
Have you still got your ovaries???? You would have so much scar tissue and adhesions from all your previous surgeries, and I also had MVA after a couple of my abdom surgeries, which really pulls and pushes everything. Read my profile, and journal entries and see if anything you are feeling sounds the same. We are all different, but you need to follow through all your options and find out what this is. I really sympathise with you dealing with all this at your age, as I'm struggling at the moment, and I'm 46. I hate menopause!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
