Mistake

My pb-gyn has taken out my uterus and cervix for no reason. I was the one percent that was misdiagnosed. It shattered my life. I have been told that women without uteruses cannot experience PID. Is this true

Hi,

thanks for query.PID means pelvic inflammatory disease. This pertains to reproductive system in females. The main organs in this are uterus and ovary. When this are removed obviously PID can not happen. Still if you are concerned you can go for ultrasound and take a second opinion from other gaynec.Normally before any surgery doctor take proper precautions for confirm the diagnosis. Do not get anxious over it.

Wising you good health.
