No Children for sure.

I am not to sure about anything on what exactly a hysterectomy calls for, but Im sure that I dont want kids/babies EVER. So I was wondering if it is healthy for someone who is 18 to have a a hysterectomy, or is there other ways to becoming sterilized?

I am with Cherie on this one. I don't think they will tie your tubes without 3 children and being 22. Now please understand that is 3+22 not 3 kids or being 22. Without children they will not tie your tubes until you are in your 30s and then they still don't like doing it. The Norplaint has very serious complications and has had a class action lawsuit against them so please don't try that but they do have IUDs that can be placed inside you and will prevent you from getting pregnant plus you don't have to worry about taking a pill everyday and it lasts up to 5 years.

Sorry if this upsets you.

Jes..Im certain no doctor would perform a hysterectomy with out medical reasons ..like endometriosis, andeomyosis, cancerm mulitple cysts, etc....and honestly its a very very serious surgery. a difficult recovery..At 18 Im not certain you could find a doctor to tie you tubes I hate to be discouraging but I highly doubt it...why not get the inset (brain fog cant think what its called Nova?) anyways its a sm insert goes into skin on upper arm lasts for 5 years you wouldnt have to worry about bc for 5 years,,,keep on getting em..I truely wish you well. and wish I had more encouraging words...but I dont think you will be able to get tubes tied at 18 with no babies...if you had 2  or 3 kids they might.
