If your still feeling weak and looking pale you might want to get in to see your Gyno, just to have her take a look at you. Some women do much better than others and recover much faster. I was only 25 when I had my surgery and bounced back very well. I do remember in the first couple of weeks if I stood too long or tried to do too much I felt weak. Thanks for keeping us up to date on how your doing. I was wondering how you were. Listen to your body and if you feel like something is'nt right give your Dr a call, okay.
I had the surgery last week, am in a bit of pain, but finally getting out of bed and trying to move around. I am so happy I had this done! Before surgery she told me she didn't think she would find any endometrial adhesions because I have been on Lupron for 4 months already (she didn't). Unfortunately, what was really odd & she was very surprised about was the fact that the majority of my debilitating pain was being caused by the Essure Procedure I had done back in Nov. 09 to tie my tubes. The blockage was developed wrong and as time progressed the more pain I felt because my tubes were irritated & swollen. The more time passed, the worst the situation got, she told my husband it's been the worst case she has seen with the Essure gone bad. I can now feel relief and get back to my normal life! I see her for a f/u on the 24th. I do feel weak at times as if fainting and i am very pale. I did farely well the first few days, besides the "gas" pain & discomfort I was good. However, after Saturday afternoon, the pain got really intense. But I know it's all over and after the 6 weeks I will be fully recovered & have my life back! hope everyone is well! Thanks for checking on me! xoxo
I hope your surgery went well. Best of Luck!
I'm so sorry to hear your not doing well. You will be in my thoughts tomorrow during your surgery. Make sure to get lots of rest, okay. When your up to it I would really like to hear how your doing. I believe things are going to be just fine for you.
No worries, I know how things are, I haven't logged on until today either. I'm having surgery this Wed., and I have been bed ridden for past 2 days! I am very thankful that you answered me, I greatly appreciate it! I'll keep you posted! Xoxo Nat
I'm so sorry to just be getting back to you. I've been sick for the last week and have'nt been here at MH.
All women are different. After having a complete hysterectomy my husband and I had a much better sex life because there was no pain any more. Like you, I have seen some women here wonder how the removal of their cervix will effect their sex life. I wish I could tell you for sure that you will have absolutely no sexual problems. I can't, No one could tell me either before my surgery. I can tell you that I had complete trust in my Dr, just like you. He did an excellent job. And believe me, things were a mess because I had endometriosis. He said that everything was grown together and he had to dissect my uterus to remove it. My recovery could not have gone any better and my husband and I could begin intimacy after 6 weeks.
I saw GYN yesterday & she scheduled a partial total laparoscopic hysterectomy. She will only keep ovaries unless they are diseased, one due to my age (34), and bcuz I have a family history of both heart & osteoporosis, so why take any risks. She will be removing the tubes, along with the uterus & cervix because she wants to prevent issues in the future with endometrial cells causing issues in the futures & I have past problems w/ annormal paps. Surgery is scheduled for 10/5. I feel very comfortable with ger & have been told she is the best at JMH. My question is because I've read posts out there which are mixed, having no cervix, how will this affect my sex life? Do you know?
Hey, I go through the same thing too about getting my days mixed up. Ha ha! I hope your appointment goes well. Please let me know what she said. And remember that we're always here to answer any questions you have.
Thank you, I actually thought today was Thursday, that is how out of it I've been. My apt. is tomorrow with her & I have a full page of questions for her. Thank you so much for your input. I'll post when it will be. Thanks gain!
