Post-Op 1 YR And Still Having Constant Pain.

My question is I have been post-op for a yr and am having constant pain. 4 doctors are stumped and have had everything ruled out except for nerve damage. Is it a possiblity that I could have this and if so what do I do as far as getting someone to listen to me? Symtoms are pain when straining to urinate/bowel movements, painful intercourse and pain is not relieved no matter what I do.

I am wondering if anyone has ever said anything about scar tissue or adhesions?

I have a ton of posts on adhesions and how I was able to actually eliminate them. Look at my profile and see where there is the place where you can click on my old posts...you will have to go back a ways, but I did post not too long ago and probably on this board, too, unless I refered to my old post!

Having said that, I can copy the information from my hard drive. It is a bit long, but I got so much relief and if you are allowed to do a deep massage then that would be the only concern. I did something called "body rolling" and it changed my life. I was at the point where it hurt to walk since my adhesions were so bad and in fact, it was about a year into the adhesions that they were just horrible. The pain, though, started about five months after the radical hysterectomy.

If you don't mind...could you let me know if you see this post...then I will know you saw it.

Hoping this helps.

Thank you for your reply. Your right, I did have a radical hysterectomy. I did have a full work up by a urologist and he said that everything was good and it wasnt my bladder or kidneys. I thought maybe it might have been that too. The doctor who did the radical said that what was wrong now wasnt a gyno problem and yet a urologist,a general surgeon, and a general md said it was so I went to see a new gyno that I had never seen and on first visit he was the one who mentioned nerve damage(before he looked at med records from first gyno) but today on my secound visit(and my last) he said that it wasnt a gyno prob and what was wrong w/me he couldnt help me with. When I asked what was wrong w/me since he was so sure he couldnt help,he said he wouldnt say but referred me to a pain/nerve specialist and told me not to come back to him for this problem I had. Is it just me or does this sound really weird? I am trying not to get discouraged but its hard.

Since I don't really know, I am assuming you had a radical hysterectomy. If so I wonder if they have check for uterian prolapse or a fallen bladder. If not, I would suggest they do so. My biggest suggestion would be, DON'T GIVE UP, THERE IS A DOCTOR OUT THERE THAT CAN HELP YOU. As hard as it maybe, you need to keep going until you find the doctor that has the answer. You might also want to see a pain management doctor to help you through solving the mystery.
