I am so sorry to hear you are so down..it happens often after a surgery,,any surgery is tramatic...especially a hysterectomy for a woman who had hoped to have children.

Honestly Id suggest 2 things,,

1, consider going to a specialist to see if some mild anti depressant for short term use may help you.

2. Get those hormones in check , ask you Gyns advise.

I am not a Dr,,but I suspect your depression is related to both things I spoke of.

I am only 26 too and had a hysterectomy almost 3 weeks ago.I'm so sorry you never got to experience childbirth but I"m sure there was a good a reason you had a hysterectomy. I am blessed with 3 wonderful children and I'm so glad that I decided to have the first at 20. I wanted to wait until 25 but I'm so glad I didn't. Even though I knew I didn't want anymore children and if I did it would be really dangerous a part of me was depressed at the thought of not having anymore children. They say its normal. I am having some ups and downs. I really don't know what is normal to feel but just wanted to show some support and let you know you're not the only 26 year old that had this done. Did you  have your ovaries removed too? I decided to keep one because I was too afraid to go into menopause. I hope you are feeling better soon.Take care of yourself.
