Surgery on Wednesday

I just wanted to say thank you to all the wonderful women on the Ovarian Cyst and the Hysterectomy Forums. I am having my surgery on Wed and am so very grateful for the wonderful advice and support that you have all offered me. I was so relieved when I found this site. I was beginning to think I was losing my mind and I must be the only one with these pains. I was amazed to know how many women suffer...and thankful to know how many get relief from the surgery. Thanks agian for all the support. I will let you all know how things go. God bless...Lynn

Happy Halloween Lynn !
I'm home recovering from having a total hysterectomy on Oct, 17th. Cherie is right on with her advice. I got very bored & restless just days after my surgery and did a few small chores around the house. ( picked up, washed dishes etc...) I felt worse than ever afterwords and it tooks days to recover. So, I am forcing myself to do nothing now and I feel much better. It really is the only way you will heal & get back to your old self again.
So my dear, Rest & Get Well Soon :)  Joanna

One more thing Ive not seen mentioned in regards to recovery, soon you will feel well, and we want so desperatley to b pain free its really easy to over do. your body takes a long time to heal on the inside.
I just got out of the er about 4 hrs ago I got bad strep throat, the dr says that since this is my third illness since my surgery that my bodies trying to tell me something.

My point being i can not stress how important it is to rest and heal, follow all orders, let others hellp you. god bless, if theres someone who can come on your account to let us know how you are we'd appreciate it, I dont expect youll feel up to typing for atleat 3 or 4 days,

also walk walk walk it gets rid of all the trapped gas that causes pain.

God Bless You, Cherie
