this happened to me too a bit my uterus was like a brick pressing on the bladder causing leakage, I dont really understand how stitching up your vaginal walls will solve this, Did dr explain any futhure? usually its a bladder suspension/sling, Since your uterus is enlarged and if dr feels its going to continue to become enlarged I do understand him wanting to remove it, it would make sense to do both the bladder suspension( or you may not need it mine "popped" into place when uterus was gone.
the colorraphy is usually for misforming of the vaginia due to the organs being pushed intp or near it,

Its my personal belief to always try the least invasive approach first. If your doc thinks a colporrhapy may work Id try that, you could always go back and do the hysterectomy later if the first is unsuccessful, but lets be positive and assume it works, the healing time is going to be in your favor it will be shorter and less intense,

with warm regards,

Yes the excersise were Kegals.,but they was making the incontince worst. I rang the g.p to see what he says. He told me that the Kegals do not suit everyone, and that they dont suit me.. The g.p says that a pelvic repair or a hyserctomcyis now the only option. I have got the choice of which one to go for.

Hi Friend,
I was out for surgery myself I do appologise for the lateness in response. A colpohappy is simply the suturing of a vaginal defect such as a herniation or prolapse. It is not really comparable to a hysterectomy. To the very best of my knowledge the terms are in and of themselfs not used together. they are seperate procedures. A colpo. is surely less invasive than a hyster.
The exercises your doing are Keagel? Has the possibility of a bladder suspention or sling been prosented to you? If not Id sure ask my dr why, I am not saying this is the best option, You do have the right to know it is an option.
A hysterectomy by definition is the surgical removal of the uterus with or with out the cervix, a Colporhappy is the surgical repair of vaginal wall via suturing.
I would definatley ask to clarify...it seems lodgical that perhaps if he removes the prolapsed uterus the bladder would go back to proper position. I fail to see how suturing the vaginia would solve your problem. Please let me know what he says.
