Dont use heat...heat will make you (likely) feel better, but it will increase swelling and heaven forbid if you have anything ready to rupture it will exaberate that 9 dont think you do but a dr needs to examine you)

i actually advise an ice pac/./.use a barrier like a wash cloth 15 min on 15 off repeat as often as youd like.

Hi

I really think you should see your Gynecology about this. Five months is a little bit too long. Usually your doctor should give you some tablets to take to avoid internal bleeding after the op. Which may cause the swelling. Had that myself after removal of cyst on both sides. My stomach was geting swollen and i had alreay been advised by the hospital that if my abdomen gets swollen or feels swollen for a long time i should see my Gyn. Doc. Which i did and she give me tablets. And that really helped. It is also very normal that stomac is swollen after op. But not for many months.

Hi Jenny

Im certain others have had these symptoms, swelling is common but not as far post op as you are, and normally with swelling (edema) the area would be soft not hard. I think there is not a need to panic, but you should make a appointment to see your surgeon asap and discuss this problem.
