Ohboy no good answers,,If your children are very young you must hire a nanny for when dad is gone ,you may  not do any lifting.Reat is key to a healthy speedy recovery, try to stock up on frozen meals or make dishes you can freeze and just pop in Micro or oven..
No sex, tub baths, or heat for pain.

Use ice paks on pelvis it really helps. you will be sent home with narcotic pain pills thes cause constipation buy some colace its the best on the market for women you do not want a laxative just a stool softner ,,use according to directions,,,

If on day 1 or 2 post op you experience alot of gas in abdomen walk,,,,no stairs,,just circles around you house or back and forth across a room it will release the gas let it go,,,,do not hold it in..

Hints..start diet easy,,jellos broths, first day soft foods by day 2 and 3 mashed potatoe, applesauce, yougert..etc,,,,gradually get back to reg diet,,until off pain meds avoid food that you know constipate you
Pillows are  handy if you need to cough or sneeze hold a pillow semi firmly to abdomen...I slept with a pillow on my belly cause I was worried my dog would get on me in night,,,

there are some women who claim very little to no pain, its rare most have moderate high to high pain...it gets better every single day. please go to my home page and read my hysterectomy story,,,it tells how I did a tiny chore and messed my self up,,,you really must do NOTHING at first,,,,
