is post discomfort normal

I had a abdominal hysterectomy in April, because of abnormal bleeding everyday for a year and a half. It is now October and i am still having abdominal discomfort is this normal??? I used to sleep on my stomach and now when I find myself on my stomach i wake up in discomfort.

It sounds like you may have addhesions from the surgery these can be taken care of if not other possibiltys are scar tissue, it does weird things, can attact body parts to parts that should not be, causing pain. You must as remar said see your dr.

No, I don't think you should still be having pain. Did you have a complete hysterectomy? Did you have any problems with you incision healing? Have you talked to your Dr about the pain your having?
