mood swings and tiredness on hrt

I had a sub total abdo hysterectomy almost 5 weeks ago. I am 45 years old.  I was immediateley put on HRT "Elleste solo".  However, I am still feeling very tired after minimal exercise, eg short walk, putting on xmas decs etc.  Have not done anything physical.  I did get a wound infection 3 weeks post, and had a course of antibiotics. Wound opened at this point but healed again.
However, feel I am totally irrational, quite happy then crabbit and bawling my eyes out. Could sleep on a knife edge. Sleeps till 10am and then could go back to sleep mid afternoon.  Is this normal?  When does it get better

I am 4 and half weeks post op for BSO, with one twisted necrotic ovary, the other multi cystic. I had my uterus removed 8 years ago. I to am still finding it difficult to get up before 10 am, and a week and a half ago started on antidepressants which I am only taking at half strength because of the nausea associated to them. My gyn won't give me any hormone replacement until my 3 month checkup. I feel exactly how you do, and have had numerous surgeries before this one and can't ever remember feeling so tired. As I had a very painful lead up to what ended up emergency surgery, my GP believes all is natural, and to let my self recover at whatever speed my body takes. Since I have taken this on board properly I am starting to feel alot better, and am going with the flow of what my body wants. We've been through a b----y rough time, don't be so hard on yourself. Happy days ahead;)

You may need to change your hormone meds. Yes, it can be normal to still feel tired after 5 weeks because you had major surgery but the hormones should be working by now.
See your Dr and have your levels checked. Take care. Remar
