morning walk after total abdominal hysterectomy

My wife had total abdominal hysterectomy (both overies and uterous removed). After how many day of the surgery morning ,evening walk and heavy work can be started.

They should have had her doing gentle walking before she left the hospital...she should not be doing heavy work for at minimum of 3 months...but yes, her dr. should have give her post op restrictions...but they usually say back to normal ALOT sooner then we should...So walking should be fine...but nothing more until the dr. okays it and then add a month...This is MAJOR surgery! She had her body entered via sharp cuts and then had organs cut out...so it's going to take a good long time...it takes a full year to get back to normal from any major surgery!

Her surgeon should have given her instructions about all of this. If not specified on the discharge papers, she should call his/her office.
