post hysterectomy

Had a hysterectomy 2 weeks ago. Had ovaries and uterus removed. Feel pretty good but not sure when I should be returning to normal activities. Stomach is alittle sore after walking up stairs yesterday. Any advice?

Do not do anything before 6 weeks. I felt  better so at 4 weeks I returned to work and started to do laundry and things of that nature. Ended up on bed rest for another month! I know it is hard but enjoy the peace and quite while you can. Rent some good movies, read, or work on a project you can do from a chair.

You should not be taking stairs yet. It takes about 6 weeks for your body to heal so no steps, sex, lifting anything and get plenty of rest.
You should be seeing your Dr for a check up in about 4 weeks and he/she will let you know what you can and can't do. As long as there are no problems you should be able to return to normal activities. Don't overdue things and take care. Remar
