I agree with old_before_my_time...I had a complete hysterectomy at a younger age...30's and have had nothing but continued problems with what was supposed to be cured as well as a whole bunch of new health issues and dysfunction...How far out are you in your healing from the eptopic pregnancy and tube removal surgery? Have you called you surgeon to tell them how swollen you are? could be normal healing depending on how far out you are from this...but if in doubt a call in to the dr. is a good idea...and keep your organs if at all possible!
I am sorry for what you have gone through.
I had a hysterectomy at a much older age (49) and I would highly discourage it. It has caused a whole list of problems. The uterus has life long, non-reproductive functions - anatomical, skeletal, hormonal, and sexual.
The ovaries are also important our whole lives and if you have your uterus removed, there is a good chance that your one remaining ovary will fail due to loss of blood flow.
The pain may not even be coming from your uterus or your ovary. It could be adhesions (scar tissue) from the surgeries or a bladder or bowel problem. It would be a shame to lose your vital uterus and/or ovary only to be left with the pain PLUS the all the negative long-term effects of female organ removal.
