pain during urination after partial hysterectomy

I am 37 yrs old and i had a partial hysterectomy 6 wks ago. After having surgery the pain began during urination, i just thought at that time it would go away and it was normal. The first week after surgery the pain was still there so i went to see my gynocologist and he said it was normal its where he had to move the bladder around during surgery but would go back to normal. 3 wks after surgery still in pain he says maybe its a uti, cultured urine no uti so sends me to urologist he puts me on meds to numb the bladder in hopes that would help. The meds did not help, now its been 6wks and im still in pain. The pain now is during urination and a consant lower abdominal pain that does not go away. Does anyone have any advice?? Please help

Sorry about responding to your post late hun. Well, the way you can request  to see a Gyno Specialist? Is to have your doctor to refer you to one. By the way, since I have reread your post. You need a Urogynocologist: which deals with and specialize in Pelvic floor issues, bladder problems, bowel problems, etc.etc. Now, they can tell and see what is actually going on with you. And they have various options to correct your problem. Me and you are in the same boat! Except I have been having this issue for 10 years and finally getting it corrected. I have Stress Urination Incontinence and Pelvic pain at this present time which has gotten worse after my hysterectomy on Nov. 26, 2011.

No they have not done anything. Over the years i have had several kidney infections and this isnt a kidney infection. Before he tested me for uti i told him it wasnt a uti but he was for sure it was and the urine test proved it wasnt. How do i go about finding a gyno specialist? Because at this point the urologist thinks its post op and im sure when i see the gyno tuesday thats what he is going to say. I know these doctors are thinking its all in my head but its not im in pain and something is not right.

Have you had an MRI and/or a Cat Scan done. Things usually show up on these types of test. I hope he did not do anything to your bladder. It has happen to women before. Not trying to scare you. I wonder if you might have a Kidney infection? Have the Gyno check for that as well. If all else fails? Talk to your doctor so he/she can refer you to an Gyno Specialist. They know more than ya regular Gyno. Trust, I'm seeing one now. And he is fixing the mess my Gyno did!

No blood work was done. I went to the urologist yesterday and he decided to run the camera into the bladder to see if there was any damage done to it. There was no damage done, and he didnt know why i was having pain, only that it was pain from the surgery. I spoke with the gynecologist today and i got an appointment for tuesday to sit down and talk to him. I feel like these doctors are not taking me serious. Im in pain and i dont know what to do.

It might be time to see another Gynecologist. You've had a test for a UTI and it came back negative. But, your having pain for some reason. Did your Dr do any blood work to see if there's another possible infection going on?
