still trying to get it right
Hi,I was put on hormones in aug after being off them for 8 years,dr gave me the patch but it wouldnt stay on so she switched me to menest,i actually felt pretty good on it but developed a uti and was put on macrobid,then i had my hormones blood levels done and new dr said my uti was clear and she put me on estratest well we had to stop that as my heart was racing all the time ,and then i developed a yeast infection and vaginal infection.been on different antibotics was tols it was clear but i still have burning,now im on estradiol 1 mg and prometrium 100 mg i have no uterus and she ordered me testotestorone from a compounding pharmcay..any ideas about the burning going on for over a month
Hi what do u mean no estragen at all.i think i was feeling better on the menest other than no sex drive my family commeted on how well i was,but i needed testtestorone and tried the estratest it made my heart race and my anxiety worse...saw dr yesterday and she is addiing divigel also and im on vagifem...feeling kinda low and not as good as i was the weeks from aug 25 till sept 14 told her this and i was hinting maybe i should go back on menest but she wants me to try the estradiol for longer and next week i will switch to taking the promtrium every other night///im on 2 antidepressants.Dr is ordering blood test s and special urine test cause i keep having the burning.i wonder how long it will take the compounded testtestorne to help sex drive
Im thinking you need a combo hrt ..no estrogene at all? your adernal gland should be trickling a bit of that but most comes from ovaries which no longer exist.
see a new obgyn or theres a farily new help called Nurse practioner specilising in menopause and hrt...since thats all they do they really know there stuff,
rapid heart rate only when on meds? if it happens other times Id advise a cardiologist,. would not hurt to see one anyways for a simple ekg.
You sound like you have another urinary tract infection..your going to get a fever and quite sick if this is what you have and it goes untreated.
many women need some sort of anti depressant after a hyster,,,I take a mild one and many of the posters I help do also you may/should/ try this if you don't care for it you could easily just have dt wean you off,,,NEVER stop a antidepressant on own it can create a much deeper depression then before,

I got the testesttorrone creme put it on yesterday and heart rate up this morning and odd dreams all ite i dont get it,and i swear im feeling more down since going on the prometrium..i culd use some advice i know i had a total hystrectomy 15 years ago and something should help i thnk i felt the best on the menest but i think it caused my yeast infection and all the burrning..and i have had this dierehha for 2months and so sick of it
