Hi Missy no prolemo on posting twice. I just got my lap top back so, I am glad to be able to try and help you.

Im honest ok always, pain varies, a real lot I have answered several hundred or more posts on hysterectomys. What is a level 3 pain to one person is a level 10 pain to another person and that simply is what it is,ther is no reason for it some people feel more pain than others or feel it more intensley.

Im concerned about the UTI feeling you have, Im sure you had a cath right? that stretches the urthra, Many women do infact get UTIs from being cathed during a surgery of any sort. I am presumming your taking pain meds. could that be masking pain from a UTI , yes!!!  Take a pee- sample in to dr and tell him you want it checked for bacteria, if he doesnt like it too bad.

If you have gas trapped from surgery try to walk around the house, walking helps release the gas do not hold it in . Lying on left side at night helps with this also.

You have been through alot of trauma, its only been 3 weeks, be kind to yourself. It is ok to rest just surf the net. read a book, all relaxing activity, if you even try to do house work or such too soon it will send you into pain.
I have a very detailed journal page on my home page please click on my icon it will take you to it. many hints on help with recovery.

hugs. C
