Update Time Stamps on Postings

For quite some time now the time stamps on postings do not update unless a new post is made.  It is frustrating to tell whether the post you are looking at is new or old without updated time unless you actually go into the post.  As a Co-CL on a couple of forums it makes so much more work for me to answer questions.  Is there a plan for giving us back this functionality?
