12 week ultrasound!

hello everyone - we just had our 12 week ultrasound - it was wonderful!!  baby was moving and we saw one of it's hands and all the fingers - i'm starting to believe it's really happening :)  now we are finally starting to think about the birth!  we have two hospitals to go visit before we decide.
I'd love to hear about your 12 week Ultrasounds as they happen - has anyone reached that point yet? how did it go?

I had my 12 week ultrasound on wednesday and everything went really great..  found out the bub was measuring a week ahead of time and it took the tech an extre hour to measue the little thing because it was moving around way to much..Not that i minded as i got to see the baby for an extra hour..
With all the moving around i couldnt believe i cant feel it yet but m sure its coming soon.

We went in at 10 weeks, and the doctor said the baby feels more like 9 weeks.  The heartbeat was 180.  In order to get a more exact due date, we had a vaginal ultrasound.  I am actually 9 weeks, and my due date is now July 26th.  We saw 2 arms and 2 legs and that's about it!  
We wouldn't normally have had an ultrasound until 20 weeks, like with our first one!
It's crazy how so many doctors are so different in the ultrasound department and how many they do!
We go again in 4 weeks!

Congrats on your 12 week ultrasound! It's so exciting!!  My 12 week u/s is Jan. 10th and I can't wait!!  Will you be finding out the gender of your baby?

kellibubu - that's interesting you are measuring a week ahead - i've measured 3 days behind from the very start!  - i'm sure all babies are different sizes, but i winder if that really affects the due date like they think!  

Toes - so same with you - you are also measuring slightly behind like me - we had IVF so know the excact date of conception - so I still see July 7th as our due date - but now they say July 11th!  let us know how it goes at your next us in 4 weeks :)

Baker - thanks for the congrats - I am SO beyond happy - let us know how it goes on Jan 10th!!!  so exciting to reach that point!!   We decided we are going to find out the gender - My Doc said they can tell us at 20 weeks!!!!   Yay!!  How about you?

I remembered with my first pregnancy my doctor told me  that the more accurate measurement is the first one. They kept changing my due date (first time they told me Nov 29 at 6 weeks than Dec 5 at 12 weeks) every time with my first pregnancy but at the end i had the baby Nov 28, a day earlier my first predicted due date.

So I think babies don't grow at a steady pace. And not all technicians are the same. To my experience some are better than other to do the ultrasound.

That's interesting that you had your baby so close to your original due date -- I know they are saying July 11th for me now, but i'm going to be expecting it any minute after I get to July 7th!!

My nt scan is tomorrow and I will be 12w3d. I went in for an u/s at 10w3d and baby was measuring 11w1d but I also had ivf so not sure how that works! I am really excited so see my liitle one on the screen... I will update as soon as I find out anything!
