Racing Heart

So I am just wondering if anyone has had or is having this happen. I notice if I lay down too long and especially at night my heart starts racing. Almost like an anxiety attack but it is just my heart. Last night we went to bed early as we were all up early and really tired. Well I woke up at 11:45 soaked with sweat and my heart felt like I was jumping out of my chest. I know from past experience I have dreams based in what is happening around me or in me. So of course I was dreaming I was in a bank that was getting robbed. But when I woke up I put my hand on my chest and it was pounding so hard I could feel it. Does this heart racing happen to anyone else? Do you know if it is normal? I want to ask the doctor but I don't go to the OB till feb. 4!

That is what the ob said. She said we will keep an eye on it and if gets worse to call, but the sweats only happened the one night. She asked if it felt like my heart skipped a beat and I didnt know/... I am not sure what that feels like! So we will see... Thanks for tour input ladies!

Hi - i've been getting that a bit as well!  it's happened a couple of times - it's feels like a rush of adrenilin - like my body is really anxious - except i'm not at all!!  A panic attack without the panic!   I thought it was linked to my thyroid meds (for a while they had me on too high a dose) but my cousin who is pregnant described the same thing!  She thinks it's because of the increased blood volume that comes with pregnancy.....
I'll be interested to know what your Doc says on the 4th!   Good luck :)
