I had a kidney stone about a year ago, which due to things I don't understand managed to not pass and sit undetected for 3 months before moving again. I had to have it surgically removed. Each time it occurred, I noticed peach-colored or brown urine at least 3 days before.
After the procedure, I've felt fine and I've changed my diet to hopefully avoid kidney stones. Ever since late July though, I've been experiencing this dull pinching back pain. It's not enough pain to even take Ibuprofen, but it always feels like that sudden jolt of something not feeling right that I distinctly remember when the kidney stone starts to move. The weirdest thing is, though it usually comes from the kidney area, the same recognizable pain will come from my shoulder blade, lower back (below the kidney area), even sometimes abdominally. It doesn't even stay on one side of the back either, popping up on the left side as well (the side I didn't have a kidney stone pass through). I just don't know if it's something I should be concerned about or not. I probably wouldn't think anything of it if I didn't know that initial feeling of a kidney stone, but it's always exactly like that, recurring every day at random. I guess my real question is, could this just be widespread back pain? I just hate knowing that every day I'm going to get a small jolt of pain that makes me stop everything I'm doing to see if it grows and pulses.
