is this normal

hi I had a lithotripsy 2 weeks ago for a 7mm stone and last Friday was admitted to the hospital with 2 stone stuck near bladder. Doc did a ureteroscopy and put a stent in on Saturday. Besides the extreme pain my urine is Dark Dark red and lots of blood clots. is this normal or should I got back to the er.? thanks

Having suffered with kidney stones for over 30 years and over 30 plus stones, I have had most of the different procedures out there to have them removed, along with allowing them to pass on their own. I have had a slight amount of blood after the procedure you had, but I have never had the amount of blood or the blood clots that you are describing AFTER the procedure. Prior to having the procedure, YES I have had the symptoms you are describing, but never afterwards. I'd suggest you contact your physician if those symptoms are still continuing.
