That is a very good question. I know that we can no longer donate blood or organs if we have had lymphoma because of the possibility of cancer cells being in the blood. My guess is you are more likely to contaminate someone when you are first diagnosed and going through treatment vs being in remission.
The swollen nodes and fatigue can fit a lymphoma/leukemia diagnosis, but there are a lot of other things that cause those symptoms too. The rash, brain fog and cloudy vision does not sound like lymphoma however. I would think that your doctor would have biopsied one of your enlarged nodes if he/she thought there was a cancer possibility.
I'm just guessing, but do you work in the medical field? Just wondering how you were exposed to someone else's blood (the other option being a serial killer which I hope you're not). :-)
Haha no it was through sexual contact with someone, with a very real risk when i explain the situation and how lousy i feel.
I think the docs think im being a little paranoid its not the case though im a calm collected person some people would be going insane if they were feeling like this. :( going back hospital today hopefully get some answers.
Swollen neck glands for three months (started with groin but they have gone down now)
Strange feeling throat not sore but irritated and dry all the time plus hairyish tongue
Fatigued and dizzy with cloudy vision
These strange frekkle like spots on body but slighty bigger than my normal ones (about 3 mm symetrical) and red look like small blood blisters on arm and face i could probably count about 10 -15 of both in total. All these marks have been there for three months !
Plus i have had a frekkle appear on my left palm what does this mean ?
Ive just picked the frekkle off and it bled for 5 minutes my body feels like its shutting down on me. Im a prisoner in my house because im too fatigued and dizzy too move no answers from docs im ready too give up
You can't get infected with leukemia or any other type of cancer (with few exceptions) unless your immune system is already severely impaired, for instance if you have AIDS. Otherwise, if you're healthy your body will fight off the bad cells from the start.
