Also if platelets were low (or mis-functioning) that'd be a bad risk for bleeding, but they are sure to do a CBC before anyway. Though actually, they could likely do the surgery anyway by infusing a bag or two of platelets beforehand.
The only risk I can think of is if you've had treatment lately and your immunity is down. With surgery comes the risk of infection and if your immunity is down it will be hard to fight it. Make sure and talk to your sugeon and tell him/her that you have cml.
