Hi. I'm not so sure about specific preventive measures for lupus or similar cases, but it is reasonable to recommend that a balanced diet (with fruits and veggies) is still the way to go to prevent diseases. Regards.
Thanks Paul---I sure hope I don't get anything else---Rheumatologist I saw recently said sometimes ANA is high and unspecific and people sometimes benefit from anti-inflammation drugs. I hope I'm not just sub clinical with something more serious---
I appreciate your response. Any type of prevention I can focus on in the meantime?
Best,
Lynn
Hi there.
CLL will not result in an elevated ANA. ANA is usually evident in patients with autoimmune disorders such as lupus. However, it is not the sole cirteria for diagnosing lupus, and I believe that the disease may have not yet manifested fully. It is recommended that you keep in close contact with your rheumatologist, and report to him or her anything that you might experience (since the diagnosis of lupus is based on a multitude of symptoms). These symptoms would include unexplained fever, weight loss, hair loss, and kidney problems.
Regards.
