Hi, I remember the thrombocytosis and petechiae from some time ago. IIRC, your doc wanted you to take blood thinners even while you had the petechiae? (which seemed wrong to me)
Btw, there is some evidence that plain vitamin C can eliminate H Pylori, in some people... maybe 1/3 of cases. Also, olive leaf extract might help killing that off. (I don't usually think that alternative remedies work much, but those might be worth a try.)
I'll see if I can find that vit C study for you.
I am taking C-Boost (1250% daily vitamin C in 1 cup) with my body by vi shakes with no difference to the h-pylori. But I am appreciative of any input and help at this stage.
I too thought the petechia and blood thinners combo was strange
Are you getting your INR tested (clotting time)?
A deficiency or dysfunction of clotting factors might indicate something about the liver (where the factors are manufactured).
But if the clotting factors seem okay, then that would tend to implicate dysfunctional platelets.
Platelets at 559 aren't that high, and in fact the normal range is just telling what the averages are.
I did have a bleed time test done about 18 months ago, when I was getting the iron infusions done.
Did it show prolonged bleed time?
At that time it showed 5 minutes
Update:
Had an emergency gallbladder removal through laparoscopy on the 9th of June. Was terribly ill, due to a gallstone causing a blocked duct as well as a perforation.
I see the NEW hematologist on the 31st of this month. (For a second opinion) Yay!!!
Also, recent bloodwork shows not only elevated WBC and platelets (both as per the usual) but now elevated polymorphonuclear leukocytes, which is a new finding.
Curious as to whether others have had similar findings, and what their diagnosis / prognosis is.
Thanks
Hi, there is thread right next to yours from smg145 about bloodwork values; she also had gallbladder problems from probable autoimmunity (lupus).
