A year ago, I was diagnosed with stage 2A invasive ductal carcinoma. I had a right side mastectomy followed by hormone therapy. My lymph nodes were clean. I've been having shortness of breath and associate it with the weight gain (thanks to hormones), and anxiety. My doctor wanted me checked for blood clots because I do have a history of DVT's. I knew I didn't have one and was pleased that she was reassured. However, a CT came back showing a 5 mm nodule in my lung. The ER doctor said it could be an old scar from pneumonia. But, I've never had it. I did quite smoking 15 years ago. I used to smoke a pack a day for about 13 years. I need another CT in 6 months.
I feel stupid. When this was all initially mentioned, I blew it off assuming it's just scar tissue from the surgeries. It never registered that this is my lung. If my lymph nodes were clean, should I be concerned? What could this be?
