My mam has just been diagnosed with Cancer of the spine, I'm just wondering if anyone else has this or has had too go through this. I'm really worried and scared she may die :( she's been throwing up and she's really weak at the moment, shes always tired and I don't know how too go about it and when I've looked online it ses that for the cancer too enter the spine it has too have spread from somewhere else in her body, like breasts, lungs etc.. she had a boob job around ten year ago but they have been tested not long ago and they were fine?. Please can someone give me some kind of advice, even just a little advice on how too be around her, shall I be at her beck and call or should I just be normal ?

I would say be at her beck and call, My mom had cancer on her spinal cord too, You have to understand that the spinal cord controls every moment of the body from blinking an eye to walking.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there!

Cancers involving the spine could be primary or secondary. The prognosis in secondary cancers i.e. cancers s[read from elsewhere is not good while for primary cancers the expected prognosis would depend on the stage. I would suggest discussing the situation and the management plan and the expected prognosis in detail with her treating doctor.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
