Hi,
Diet may also be contributory to missed periods, but this is more on the overall effect of diet on weight/body mass more than the impact of any specific food. If your diet has you thinning considerably, then your menses may also be far in between.
You are also correct about stress having the same effect.
Stay positive.
Well the thing is ive already had my check up and she said everything is fine. I know stress could be a cause for it too. I don't have the insurance to go and see about it. I was wanting to know if maybe diet could contribute to them not coming. I am forcing myself to start eating healthy. Ill have the cramps a week before and then a lil bit when its the time of month to be here. So I don't know what the deal was. Ive been through this once and I started and I was fine for the next few months. Til my mom stressed me out. She is the one, and there are other things. Im trying not to stress. Thanks for the advice.
Hi,
The important thing is to try and investigate the reason behind the irregularity. Much of these would involve eliciting symptoms and a physical examination which may show signs of hormonal excess. There may be some blood tests and imaging studies required, and then based on the results of these, a means of regulating menstrual periods could be advised. For some women, this may mean some form of surgery or medications to correct hormonal problems (some of these would fall into the birth control category though).
