As it is what they term 'Small Cell Cancer'  surgery is not favoured. They are going to use both Chemo and radio therapies combined for a total treatment period of about 18 weeks..
They seem to speak with confidence which is a help to both of us.

Best wishes.

Thank you for your thoughts.  I hope things go ok for your wife.  Are they going to or are they able to do surgery to remove the spot?

The situation is for my wife, and unfortunately it has been analysed to be cancer.
I do hope you get a better result.

Good luck to you.

I am going through this right now. Something showed up in a CT scan.  I just did a posting, Lung Liason. I saw a specialist today who is referring me for a PET scan to determine whether or not my spot is cancer or a scar from previous pneumonias.  I don't have any symptoms and am not a smoker.  I am praying that it is a scar but the waiting is so stressful.
Good luck if this is similar to what you are going through.
