Please Help Read Ct And Help Me Be More Calm

I had pneumonia back in Nov was hospitalized. I was not getting better and they had me do a catscan last week. The xray showed the lungs were clearing up. Please help me decipher the results. They have me scheduled for a pulmonologist in 2 weeks. I am so scared. The report read:
irregular somewhat speculated nodular lesion in superior segment of left lower lobe about 2 cm. small central lucency may indicate cavitation. The only additional is a calcified granuloma in right base posterior medially. Impression: 2 cm irregular nodule with probable cavitation superior segment left lower lobe. Findings suspicious for neoplasm. Other possible scar tissue and inflammatory pseudotumor.

Please Please help me to understand this all I can do is sit around a cry and still have 2 weeks before I can see the specialist. I am under 40 and have not smoked in 5 years, was an on and off smoker since age 14. Overweight but active and otherwise healthy except for high blood pressure and very bad indigestion/heartburn. My blood count has been around 13 since this started in Nov. Even for a year before my blood count was running high. I have been on 8 rounds of antibiotics since Nov. also. Any help would be so appreciated, and any advice where I can not be so upset and crying all the time. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the reply. The pulmonologist is going to run a petscan to check since there are no previous catscans to compare with. He did not recommend waiting the standard 3 months and retesting.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
I understand your concern regarding your CT scan result. Lung nodules or  small masses of tissue in the lung may be due to infections, such as histoplasmosis or tuberculosis, hamartoma, lung cysts, and vascular abnormalities as well as possible malignancy.  While  neoplasm is a possibility, this is not yet confirmed. Other differentials mentioned in the result are scar tissue and  possibly caused by inflammation. Additional diagnostic tests may need to be done to rule out malignancy.  It is best that you discuss the result with your attending physician for proper evaluation. Your medical history, symptoms present, and results of other diagnostic tests are important considerations. Take care and do keep us posted.
