lung cancer

My mother's husband had Lung CA, s/p lobectomy x1-1/2 years ago.  He refused f/u chemo and/or radiation therapy.  He has been in the hospital numerous time since his surgery, with a worsening condition of CHF and increased SOB.   He is also Diabetic, diagnosed after his Lobectomy.    Is there any date on life expectancy/quality of life for a patient in this situation?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Since your father is having a history of lung cancer and lobectomy and now shortness of breath, he should get a repeat CT scan done to rule out any fresh malignant infilteration and if the doctor advises he should go in for chemo or radiotherapy.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

On my above question regarding my mother's husband...an error was made on the Tags...it put down that he is African American, he is actually a white male, of Italian decent.
