Had Labs I have SLE Lupus bone marrow biopsy suggested for leukemia or lymphoma

I was wondering if you can explain why Dr wants a bone marrow biopsy/aspiration based on my labs. I have Lupus and have been unwell though not Lupus related other symptoms suggest as Dr said a possible cancer.
