period

So I have heard the first period will be super heavy n painful. I stopped bleeding a couple days ago finally and started bleeding again, this time bright red blood. But no cramps and fairly light. Should I assume its my period or be worried? I go in next week to check the fibroid and figure out about the surgery plan to remove it. Not sure if that changea anything.

I am breastfeeding. It's been 5 weeks and I read about breastfeeding slowing down the return of the period for some women, just so confused. When I mark a calender, will I know its a period by duration?

It would be surprising if it was your period coming back, you only had your baby not so long ago. I bled for 3 weeks after birth, some days i'd have nothing, then bam! Red blood again. Are you breastfeeding? This will delay your period too. I had to stop taking the mini pill after 1 month because i was bleeding on and off all over the place. I am still breastfeeding, and haven't had a period yet, Bailey is just over 4 months old. With my last son I didn't get my period back until i stopped BF at 6 months.

I did the same thing. Its normal to bleed off and on. Its so hard to figure periods out after a baby lol. Mark it down on a calendar. And ask your dr. I stopped bleeding for a couole days then out of no where bright red blood. Startwd light then got heavy. Stopped 2 days later then a week after no blood bam! Its back. Confusing times!
