I think every mom is Lille that the first couple of weeks. Especially first time moms. It will pass. You'll start to get more Andorra comfortable with her and eventually that will even extend to when she's sleeping. It just takes time.
I've gone through the paranoid phase with each of my kids so you're pretty normal. How to get over it though not sure other then say you'll relax as she gets older.
I think it would be ok if she didn't choke on her spit while in the hospital.
Yes, it will get better with time, Bailey actually has stridor, which is really noisy breathing, and they say he will just outgrow it in time. Well, he is getting alot more quiet now at night, but i'm so used to hearing every breath he takes that when i wake up during the night and hear silence, i leap up and run to the cot!! I will even 'bump' the cot to hear him stir! But i am getting used to it now, and that fear is slowly fading. Also when they are newborns they can sound very 'mucousy' after birth. You'll be ok!
I think all babies will choke on their spit at one time or another, I know mine did. The key is to try to stay calm. I had worked in childcare for 3 1/2 years before having my first child so I think that really helped me to be able to be calm. Maybe something that would help you to feel better would be to take an infant CPR course. Then you know what to do in case of an emergency and that might help you to feel less worried.
The cpr class is an awesome idea! The fear does fade. I still get up amd check on my oldest! Lol. Its all part of being a mommy. Just wait until they start sleeping thru the nigjt. Ive got uo ( with my oldest) and woke him up just to hear his cry to know he was ok. That didnt last long. But it made me feel better. With my twins , they are waking up once thru the night now amd that worries me from time to time. I get up at 2:30 to breast feed and they wont be ready til 3 sometimes 4. I sit there and enjoy their snoring lol
In the hospital my hubby and I were up all the time bc the baby was throwing up the aminotic fluid but when he did I was soo afaris he would choke on it soo I was like a zombie and home for a couple of weeks I would wake up ti see if he was breathing and if I couldn't see him breath I would touch him and he would move lol ya I was paranoid but now its better babies breathing pattern are kinda strange bc they will breath hard in the beginning and then breathe lightly mine does this rolling eye movement freaked me out the first time but he is just dreaming lol it will gey easier girlie
She spits n swallows it...then that dear if choking in it comes in....I'm trying to stay calm now I know I am just being a worry wart.
Thats a really good sign if she swallows it bc alot of times babies just throw it up mine is swallowing his and is controlling his burping..if u do give your baby formula give her similac for sensitive tummies bc it controls spit up and it works well plus its like 6 bucks I have to feed my lil monster formula with my breast milk bc he eats soooo much and he sleeps longer if I do both
