Crazy morning
I just took two kids to the dr! My nephew has had diarrhea for 8 days now and my sister has a brand new job so she really can't take any time off to take him. He's 3. My baby was crabby and kept crying and screaming. Then right as the assistant called us back my nephew pulled down his pants IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WAITING ROOM and starts screaming, "I poop! I poop!" And running towards the bathroom. I run after him to help him and the dr herself asks me if I needed help with the baby. So the dr holds my baby while I'm helping my nephew. We finally get into the room to see the dr who still has my baby and she says she really wants to get a stool sample! Really?!?! She couldn't have said that when we were already in the bathroom pooping. Instead she sent me home with a kit and I made it clear that I'm not the one who will be gathering the sample. My part is done! It was completely crazy and out of control with both kids and I feel like everyone was starting at me and thinking, "look at that lady who can't take care of her kids!"
No worries kat. It's a funny story. I wasn't laughing at the time but now I am. His little bare bum running through the waiting room was pretty hilarious
Omg sorry I chuckled a oil bit but I'm sure in the moment I would of been upset also...taking care of your sick baby on top of another child must tough but yes that was very sweet of you to do that :)
Oh wow, crazy days hey? I have quite alot of those lol. Yeah, its a shame she didn't want a stool sample before he actually went to the toilet! As for collecting it, i'd be letting the mother do that, it was nice enough you took her son to the doctor, but i'd be letting her do the collection! Hope he gets better soon.
Oh geez. I could see my son doing that when he was three. That was really really nice of you to take him to the doctor for her.
What a day! As the saying goes '$hit happens'. Dr should have got the sample there. Yucky. Hope lil one feels better soon. Poor babe.
