stupid insurance companies

So previcid tabs are OTC so my insurance said that they wouldn't cover them for Cadence, even though it's not a typical situation. So my doctor prescribed something that would be covered, only there is no way for Cadence to take it because she can't swallow pills. So I'm venting here....idiots expect a 3 month old to take a pill....and don't look into a situation more just because it's usually an OTC item. Cadence isn't sleeping well at night and keeps waking herself up multiple times within an hour and stopping to breath which is why we're adding this medication. It won't even start to work for up to 2 weeks. So now I have to wait til tomorrow and the pharmacy is going to call the insurance and give them the low down and see if we can get this reversed. On top of that, hubby again feels like I am over reacting. He's doing his thing and had his sister come over who hoards over Cadence, so I am just left sitting here doing absolutely nothing. She's been here since 2 and it's now 6:30. There's times I can't stand his family..besides the fact I can usually only handle them in small doses to begin with because they're all so sheltered and judgmental because of it. Ok....I feel a bit better...off to the laundry.

The pills are in capsules and it says specifically not to remove the meds from the capsules....so we will see what happens in the morning.  I'm ok with the dissolvable pills but insurance needs to pull their heads outta their butt.

Aww its cute! We are on the same cycle n not even in the same state...now that's a bond. :)

Can u crush the pills up and put them in water like a small dose or formula  or breast milk and give it to her in a bottle? I mean ya that doesnt make sense why they would prescribe meds to a 2 month old whom cant swalllow pills lol im 29 and I cant swallow pills..and you arent over reacting just let him think what he wants to dont let it bother you..just go about your day with the baby and just brush it off..my hubby thinks im the same way sometimes but I dont let it bother me bc I was preggers and delievered kendrick so my bond with my son is greater then his bond with his dad so they just dont get it

Part of why I love breastfeeding. Grab her, say she needs to eat, and go hide in your room for a while. I'm almost certain prevacid for infants is prescription only so insurance should cover it so BS that they won't.
