Pet Peeves...What Are Yours?
So, what are your pet peeves?
I have so many little things that drive me up a wall, so I'll only name a few.
1. People who chew with their mouth opened.
2. Punctuality; I hate when someone is late. Why can't people ever be on time?
3. When someone will replace a "zero" with the letter "O" when giving out a phone number, for example.

Almost anything my husband does is a pet peeve.
wannabenana...I am with you on the late thing. I think it's disrespectful. It's a bone of contention between me and my daughter. She can't help being late and she always makes me late and no amount of lecturing works. Also, I hate overly mellow drivers during the rush hour, I just want to shove some coffee down their throats (but seriously, I am working on my road rage issues). I guess my biggest pet peeve though is the lack of manners...nobody says thank you anymore.
I know I have A LOT but I cant think of all of them right now. Here are a few.
1. When people can't spell.
2. When people chew with their mouth open. I don't need to see what you're eating, close your damn mouth.
3. When people smack their gum.
4. Misuse of punctuation, I'm not the best at it but at least I know the basics.
5. My boyfriend.
6. When people ask if my son has rug burn on his forehead. No, you idiot it is a birthmark and that's a very common place for a birthmark.
7. When my customers ( I waitress) make jokes that they think I have never heard before but in reality I hear them EVERYDAY.
8. When I come to a table set for 8 and only 2 people are there, they insist on telling me that they are still waiting for a few more. Oh, really, I thought you just needed some extra space.
I'm starting to think that I just don't like people

I'm starting to think that I just don't like people
I HATE it when people don't PICK UP THEIR FEET....is it tooooo much energy to pick up your feet instead of scuff them along the floor!!! It drives me crazy. I used to be responsible for conducting interviews for the store I worked at, and if they came into the interview dragging their feet...NO JOB FOR THEM!!!
I use to waitress and I know what you mean.

People who park in front of the grocery store (the fire lane)
I use to work in the ER and I get so upset when people come in there for a cough, hang nail, toothache etc. Basically anything not life threatening.
Those all that I can think of right now.

children and teens using adults' first names. I am in the south now so even "Miss or Mr. First name" is respectful enough
People using handicapped parking spots without permits, or even with permits that are not for them. (someone stole my grandfather's permit out of the car once.)
People not pulling over for rescue vehicles.
I don't mind people being late, what I hate is when other people wait to start something because people are late. If they are late, respect the people that did get there on time, not the ones that are late. I hate being "punished" for being on time by having to wait for stragglers and having meetings end later! People who pull up to the 4 way stop and then go before it's their turn. It's a double pet peeve if they are talking on a cell phone while doing this.
People who work in customer service who shouldn't be because they are so rude.
Loud thumpin' & bumpin' music...even if I like the song, you're not my DJ, so turn that s.hit down.

1. people who don't use a turn signal (Makes me Irate)

A good few of the ones already mentioned also Parents yelling at their children outside and also the Family members or caregivers out with elderly Mom or Dads and are impatient with them ,rushing them around the store and chunnering at them, makes me sad.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when I'm in a hurry to get somewhere and grab some to go food in a fast food restaurant for my family, get home and discover they got my whole order wrong. Or they didn't give me one item.
One time I went to Fazolis, got me and my daughter a chicken pasta ceasar salad and ran home with them (hubby and son were out). I was in a hurry and was working that night. I get home and discover they not only forgot the two packets of ceasar's dressing but also the breadsticks that were supposed to go with them!
This happens to me all the time! I hate it! Because then you don't really want to go back but you really want your items that you paid for, you know?

It's like "Hello!" you're working for the public providing a service! Didn't they teach you anything in training? Also, I'll go to a store and can't find something. I'll ask an employee (when I can finally find one!) where I can find the item and they don't know! Don't they teach them the layout of the store during training? Or they know nothing about the product. Ugh.

Bragging- Im glad that you make 100000000 dollars a year and live in a huge house.. Im happy that your mom owns 20 mc donalds and you drive a 2008 volkswagon jetta, now shutup before I punch you.
When I get asked 20 times a day by complete strangers when im due, what im having, and every other aspect of my pregnancy.. Just because you are in an elevator with me doesn't give you the right to ask me about my pregnancy.. Im not asking you every question I can think of about the kid that your with am I?
When people talk about you and you are still around.. Last night I went to register a patient and he had his wife with him. I noticed that his family doctor was a doctor that practiced in my hometown (an hour away from my actual work) well, she has a name thats hard to pronounce unless you know of her and I pronounced it correctly, so literally 2 seconds after I walk out of the room his wife says "Wow she must be a patient of doctor ___________'s... A lot of young pregnant girls go to her nowadays, I wonder how old she is.. she looked like she was 12!" I just wanted to peek back in the room and be like "Thanks!" UGGH! stupid idiots.
I have about 5 million others but Im not gonna write all of them lol

I can NOT stand the sound of someone smacking their food...Or when someone sniffles their nose every 5 minutes. It's different if your sick, But I know someone who just sniffles their nose because they like the sound!! Can you believe that! It annoys me!

Starfish, I agree with you. I can't stand it when people use the Lord's name in vain. I cringe every time I hear it. Why on earth would someone blasphemy a name they claim they don't believe in?
I hate all garbage talk anyway. I was walking into the mall awhile back with my 4 year old and just as I was approaching the door some guy standing near the door shouted out F**** You!!! Really loud to his friend. I think the whole parking lot had to have heard him. If you have to talk like that why can't you at least keep it between you and your other trash mouth friends? Why must you inflict your garbage onto me? Ugh.

I have no patients with most of the above! Road rages and inconideratate drivers,drinking and driving is my biggest peeve,and people talking and texting on mobile phones while driving.
