I definitely will avoid MH tomorrow... :)

Why is it all focused on April 1st I wonder? The Conficker Worm has been around for a while now and I read somewhere, it has already infected about 10 million computers. So that`s an ongoing thing.

Just don`t ever click on any links or open any attachments that don`t make any sense to you and don`t make the mistake I once made to reply to an email by your own bank or similar institution. It`s a trick, Once you reply, you are opening the gate to have malicious software stream into your system.
Also, I have made it a habit to delete mass emails from friends that come with attachments. Some of these funny jokes or chain letters that are being passed around only serve the purpose of multiplying the bug rapidly.
Finally, caution with USB memory sticks as well. Use your own only or if it is someone else`s, cancel the auto-run and check content and files separately.
Oh yeah, and don`t type any borderline questions into the google search, I once had to research how many people can be run through attractions of an amusement park, it involves the word "pulsing" - and man, the computer just went berserk with disgusting information and pop-ups.

Logging off now... You never know which time zone April 1st they meant.

Oh wow...I hadn't read that.  But, the way I understand it I don't think it really matters if you shut off your computer tomorrow.  Chances are the worm is already on your computer just waiting for instructions on what to do tomorrow???

Yes... websites like MySpace or Facebook. I've noticed that other news sources have picked up now on the story and they are warning people. Here is the link to some of these stories:

You mean like Facebook or something? It would come to our regular mail? I'll delete anything I see. I've already had friends invite me to Facebook so I'd know who did or didn't. I just won't open anything tomorrow, I guess! It's just one day, right?

This computer worm apparently is working through the social networking websites. So you may get an invitation from a friend to join one of these sites on April 1st. If you do.... DELETE immediately !!!  If you open, then these hackers will have all of the information that you enter on other sites (such as credit card info, etc.)

That's my .002 cents worth anyhow after watching 60 Minutes.
